Summary:

Tally has finally become pretty. Now her looks are beyond perfect, her clothes are awesome, her boyfriend is totally hot, and she’s completely popular. It’s everything she’s ever wanted.

But beneath all the fun — the nonstop parties, the high-tech luxury, the total freedom — is a nagging sense that something’s wrong. Something important. Then a message from Tally’s ugly past arrives. Reading it, Tally remembers what’s wrong with pretty life, and the fun stops cold.

Now she has to choose between fighting to forget what she knows and fighting for her life — because the authorities don’t intend to let anyone with this information survive.

Bogus and Bubbly.

Those are the words I would like to describe this book. Not only because those two words were always mentioned in the book but also it would best describe the flow of the story.

Of course Tally became one of the pretties. Pretty minded is bogus. You have to be bubbly to remember the real you. That’s how the story went. I didn’t like it as much as the first book. It’s a bit of adventure but it didn’t capture me. The writing was a little off because of those two words always mentioned.

What I like about it was Zane’s character. Maybe because the way he was described by the author, but I guess his character helped a lot to the story. In the end you will know why. I was surprised of what’s gonna happen to Tally. I like the last part and the cliffhanger ending.

So, the first part was bogus and the latter was bubbly. I would keep on reading the series to know what will happen next!

Summary:

Everybody gets to be supermodel gorgeous. What could be wrong with that?

Tally is about to turn sixteen, and she can’t wait. Not for her license — for turning pretty. In Tally’s world, your sixteenth birthday brings an operation that turns you from a repellent ugly into a stunningly attractive pretty and catapults you into a high-tech paradise where your only job is to have a really great time. In just a few weeks Tally will be there.

But Tally’s new friend Shay isn’t sure she wants to be pretty. She’d rather risk life on the outside. When Shay runs away, Tally learns about a whole new side of the pretty world — and it isn’t very pretty. The authorities offer Tally the worst choice she can imagine: find her friend and turn her in, or never turn pretty at all. The choice Tally makes changes her world forever.

I saw this book three months ago when I was looking for the same genre as The Hunger Games Trilogy. It took a while before I remember reading this. The story was very unique. Of course it’s very catchy because the story was about this futuristic civilization where everyone will be pretty. How amazing was that?

Tally’s a cool ugly. Doing tricks was her hobby. When she met Shay, everything changed. The story discussed how being physically attractive can alter someone’s personality and belief.

I’m troubled to give it a three but I still remain at four since I wasn’t bored reading it and the story line was unpredictable which is amazing. The book was a combination of adventure, romance, science and fiction. You should give it a try. I’ll definitely read the sequel!
