Book Review: Looking for Alaska

September 25, 2010 / 1 ♥

Author: John Green

Summary:

Miles Halter is fascinated by famous last words – and tired of his safe life at home. He leaves for boarding school to seek what the dying poet Francois Rabelais called the “Great Perhaps.” Much awaits Miles at Culver Creek, including Alaska Young. Clever, funny, screwed-up, and dead sexy, Alaska will pull Miles into her labyrinth and catapult him into the Great Perhaps.

My Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥

Many were talking about this book so I got curious. I think I finished this book a couple of months ago. So I thought Alaska is a place and the story might be about a search for a place and there they can find a treasure. I have a funny imagination for thinking that! ;) But Miles is seeking for something that he is lacking. And that treasure is more of an adventure, making friends, and Alaska. This is an easy read and a good book especially for young adults. Intriguing and very straight-forward.
